Pop Concert 2024
Welcome to the AFSC Grammy's!
Date: Friday, March 8, 2024
Time: 6:30pm- 8:30pm (Skaters arrive at 6:00)
Where: ACUCC Arena
Skater Groups and Costumes:
All skaters have been assigned to a group, and have been busy learning their routines. Costume suggestions and order of skating are on the bulletin board outside the Aldergrove Skating Club office. If you have any questions, please ask your coach or one of our board members.
Volunteers:
We need a lot of volunteers to make a show like this come together! Please see the Sign Up Genius and choose a job. This year, people who volunteer to help DURING the show will not need to purchase a ticket.
Tickets:
We are excited to be able to welcome spectators into the arena to watch our show! Tickets are $15 each. Skaters do not require a ticket, and children under 3 do not need a ticket. All ticket sales will be done online through Uplifter. See below for instructions on how to get your tickets! Just show your digital ticket at the door or print out a copy and bring it with you.
How to get your tickets:
1. Go to https://aldergroveskatingclub.uplifter.com
2. Log in to your Uplifter account (the one you needed to register) and click on "Purchase Products" on the left hand side.
3. Scroll to Pop Concert 2024 and purchase your tickets!
4. Bring your mobile phone with the ticket code displayed or print out your tickets and bring a paper copy (this is especially helpful if you are giving a ticket to Grandma and Grandpa!) These will be scanned at the door on the night of the event.
Please note: Tickets may not be available at the door, so please pre-purchase your tickets.
Videos:
We have hired a professional videographer to record our Pop Concert and prepare a digital copy. The digital copies will be available for purchase after the show.
Photography:
We have a photographer who has generously offered to take photos of the skaters during their on-ice routines. A link will be available to view and download the photos after the show.
More Details about the Night of the Show!
On the night of the show, all skaters are to arrive dressed in full costume between 5:45 and 6:00 pm. If your child skates in the first half of the show, they should arrive with their skates on. (If they skate in the second half, they will put their skates on at intermission) Skaters will enter the arena at the front entrance and be dropped off at the skater's lobby where they will proceed to a dressing room. The Pop Concert runs from 6:30-8:30 pm. The doors open for spectators at 6:00 pm. Please try and get your skater some dinner prior to drop off and pack a non-messy snack and a bottle of water. (no peanuts, tree nuts, corn due to allergies). It is nice to send a blanket to keep them warm during the show.
Canskate and Excel Parents will sign in their skaters at the skater entrance. Skaters will be directed to sit with their group. Your child will be with a supervisor at all times in a designated area. Please do not take your child to sit in the stands as we cannot find everyone when it is time for them to skate. At the end of the show, there is a finale that all of our skaters are part of! After the show, you will sign your child out when you pick them up. This measure is taken for the protection and security of your children. Please be patient and cooperative as we make sure that all children are returned to you safely!
